I can ping your IP address, Nubian, but I can't get to your FTP site. Can you get to your FTP site from a PC inside your network? (I assume you're using a router; maybe you need to open a couple of ports)

well i have one comp with 4 nic's that i use as a router, but it is also the one directly connected to the isp. so i dont have to deal with the vpn ip. im thinking if i set it up so it just shows up and you type a user name/password. prolly has to do with that blasted winxp firewall, and yes the links work fine on all other computers.

ftp://free:free@66.222.237.243:21

if you have ftp client,

666.222.237.243 port: 21 login/password: free

other than that im **** out of ideas... i use to do this all the time when tra... well back in the day

damn i just noticed i forgot to add the port number to the url.... i hope that fixed it

What are you using for a firewall? Is it the native XP firewall, or are you using third party software? I'm thinking you probably have to either disable the XP firewall, or maybe open up ports 21 and 23 on a software firewall.

From what you're saying, I assume you're running your FTP server on a Windows box as opposed to Linux or Unix, correct?

I'm unable to hit the site with either a browser or an FTP client. I think your router isn't forwarding traffic on port 21.
