Impresive enough the cosmo was owned by Mazda Canada!!

 

I kind of like the First Pic..It says it all!!..A Parts truck In the Background!! (.uh, just in case Some Unfortunate RX owner "broke Down" at the Meet?)..Priceless!..Nice car too!

Look real close at the last pic. The reverse lights are made of duct tape.

 

A little history on that particular Cosmo. It was brought over in 1967 for an executive of MCI for him to drive. He was a big man and only drove it a few times because of fitment problems. The car was basically stored over the years and moved from location to location and fell into a state of dis-repair. About 3-4 years ago Danny Manning got permission to restore the car and it has become his baby so to speak.

 

not to mention Manning drove the ol' bitch there!!

If you looked up close at the Cosmo's engine you would notice that it is all ALUMINUM, side plates and all. It also has separate distributors for leading and trailing.

Now that is something I did not notice! I took a quick look under the hood one time but never thought to look for that. I suppose got mesmerized by that great big pancake air filter.

 

I did look close under the hood and noticed one thing. A Racing Beat plate/badge on the air cleaner casing. Now how is original is that hahaha

 

he judged the War of the Wheels rx7 episode for us. great guy. he showed up in a new miata when we were shooting the show. he was quite impressed with the work our team was doing (ie. Stu and Rich from Can Jam).

 

He was impressed with your guys work.........he liked my choice of yellow though, and I think thats about all he was impressed with on our car, damn Chris....
