Mazda's new concept....
Alright guys, here's Mazda's newest concept making it's debut in L.A.

There are certain elements that are very nice. Others not so nice.
Do keep in mind this is strictly a design exercise.
I think they had a better production based car from the Kabura.
Discuss....

lates,
haha, where are the tires on that thing?? the wheels look like solid pieces of metal.
well, concepts are always crazy. i really do wonder what the next gen rotary will look like, and more importantly what exactly will be under the hood.
a forced induced RENESIS or something similar would be nice, but what i would like to see even more is a larger displacement rotary...a new high-compression, atmospheric 20b with variable multistage manifold, hehe......that thought makes me happy in pants.....
if i am optimistic about one thing in life, it's that there will be always be hope of another rotary powered vehicle.

That's the idea when it comes to concepts... they're suppose to look like hot wheels.
Remember to look at the small details, not the whole package. The car as it stands is strictly concept. Get some ideas from certain angles.
Personally I think the Kabura, with minor changes, could make a fantastic production car.
This however, needs to be weaded out a bit. It's side profile isn't too bad. It's got some crazy fender flares. But the lines are nice.
The front grill really has to be redisigned. I hate those projector headlights!
And of course the rear has to be totally redesigned.
At least they're still enforcing some curves into their designs.
Most cars nowadays look like square boxes with slight round offs near the front and rear.

someone needs to take the pencils and CAD SW away from those morons at the mazda design center.. if a new word was needed to describe something that was universally worse then 'Fugly'.. this is the time to present such a word..
mazda has come out with nothing good to compete agains't the likes of Nissan, Toyota, Lexas etc. They are all coming out with new Japan muscle and where is mazda no where still playing with them selves! New supra will be coming out shortly i believe next season, skyline not sure but there have been shots already all over the place and testing at the ring! No mazda yet! even the new supra has been spotted there. Mazda needs to come out and play with the big dogs and show once again the rotary can compete with the other manufacturers
