Mazda rebuild kits??

Does anyone have any experience with a rebuild kit from Mazda?? I'm jsut about in need of a rebuild and was pricing stuff out!! I can get an engine rebuild kit for $150 at the dealership while kits from say Mazdatrix or Atkins are around $800-$900!!! where is the difference?? I was told at the dealership that evrythings included, gaskets, apex seals, side seal etc...
Any one have any idea's???
Thanx

I'll take 10, seriously if you can get that price they are losing mucho money. Apex seals are about $50 each, coolant "O"-rings are about $300.

LAWL...I highly doubt the dealership you talked to even knows anything about rotaries. $150 would get you the soft seal kit if your getting a big discount. That doesn't include anything else.
Our rebuild kits we sell go for $1000 and includes EVERYTHING you need to assemble a shortbock, including some extras like solid corner seals, FD corner seal springs, thermal pellet replacement ect...

Last time I priced that out, the Rotor Kit(Apex seals, etc.) was around $900 and the engine gasket kit was over $200.

Did you just use the terms "bridge ported" and "daily driver" in the same sentence, without a modifier like "not?"

The fear of bridgey's and even Pports as daily drivers is perpetuated by old relics of this forum in particular. Back when everyone was modifying there MAF's and running SAFC's lol!!!! Those day's are far behind us, and kind of embarassing I dare say. There are MANY running bridges and pports and driving them "daily" on the street, with all kinds of management for fuel and spark.

I couldn't imagine running my Bridgeport on the street (excluding the whole no interior and roll-cage thing) but if others want to do it, I'm sure it can be done.
