Does anyone know a good mechanic or shop in Ottawa or the Valley that can work on my '85 with the 12A? I had heard there was a shop near Ottawa (RX7 Heaven?) but it's out of business. I can't seem to hook up with anyone who knows much about these beasts. Thanks for any help...

 

Roboy, what is wrong with the car. Give plenty of details as possible and where are you located . Also, forget RX-7 Heaven that's all gone, out of business.

The car has a 'surge' at highway speed. It's not really bad, but it is there. When you step hard on the throttle, there is no hesitation, and when you drive it hard, there is no problem, but when you are just cruising, the surge is there. Also, there is a hose off that goes to the air cleaner, and it came with a wooden plug in the end of it. When you take out the plug and connect it to the air cleaner spigot where it is supposed to be, the car will not run at all. I must admit that I am no mechanic, so ideas, anyone? I haven't been able to find anyone in the Pembroke/Eganville area, where I live, that knows anything about rotaries. Any help is appreciated.
