Newb

I'm a total NEWB when it comes to rotaries. I have nothing but RESPECT for these monsters and the purists that baby them but I wanted something different. I also prefer the sleeper look. Here's my ride.

1987 TII
- factory paint
- 112000 miles on chassis
- 60000 miles on engine
- 30 mpg on the highway in 6th gear
- power windows swapped for manual windows to save weight

MODS
- 2000 LS1, 6speed, tuned stock PCM
- GM LS6 clutch kit
- Skip shift eliminator and short shifter
- custom intake/filter
- Stainless Works long-tube headers
- Custom dual 2.5-inch mandrel bent exhaust to a single 3-inch Apex’i N1 muffler
- PDM racing battery relocated behind passenger seat
- Tomei 2-way LSD
- Stance 12-way coilovers

WHEELS
- Enkei RPO3 18”x9” +20 offset
- 225/40-18 front and 235/40 rear, Falken Azenis

WEIGHT
- 2850 lbs when it was stock TII
- currently weighs 2700 lbs (power steering, AC and heater removed to save weight)

PERFORMANCE
- 1/4 mile--- 12.5 sec @ 115 mph, with a 2.1 60 foot on tires shown above (granny shifted)
- can easily hit the 11s with drag radials or better shifting

I'll definitely be hitting Mission raceway this spring. Hope to see some of you there. HOPE I DON'T GET MY *** KICKED.

Just a couple of old pics.
The red '86 was my first 7. I sold it 3 years ago, a couple months after I got the '88 GXL that was mint at the time.
I hear it's still prowling the streets in Moncton New-Brunswick.

By the way.. I don't see many champagne colored FC's... by far the easiest color to keep clean.

Hey everyone! Im new to this part of the forum, but I have been to this site a couple times for help, wanted to get to know some fellow RX-7/rotary owners in Canada. :] Here are some pics of my car that I bought last autumn, sorry for the bad quality pictures/was cold outside. Is my car two toned? Haha, I like the orange in the light and red in the daylight.

The Evo-R kit looks good painted. Does the light output suck as much as I hear?
