Hrrrm...

Transversely mounted in the middle of something custom, hooked to a 5 spd transaxle, and covered with a curvy 60's style sports racer body. topless, of course.

I'm wondering if a Porsche 914 tranny would take the power?
The Kennedy adapter plate fits to the 914's bellhousing and any rotary could bolt to it then.
Another cool thing about that is, you could flip the gears inside the tranny and then have it mounted backwards in something custom and have a mid-engined 20B Just like an old Lotus or something

Well if you want to put it in a mid-engine, lets put it in my Fiat X1/9. I 'll donate the car to your shop if you do it and let me race it.

The 914 tranny is called the 901 and is not as durable as the ones out of the 911s which I think are called 915s. Blake from Pineapple Racing actually has the Kennedy adapter and a 901 tranny for sale at the moment for a great price.

Jeez, not only the engine but you'll need to switch standalones as well.

And as R.P.M. said, I guess everyone is going 20B now. I guess I'm not even going to bother anymore, which I guess is OK since anyone can just bolt in a 20B...

Ive always wanted to see a custom 3 rotor bike. Kinda like a Dodge tomahawk, which was a viper engine powered bike.

If not that then a porsche 944 would be my choice.

That's almost exactly what I'm doing for my 20B DeLorean project. The tranny almost bolts right in if the Porsche half-shafts are used. Since the chassis of the Espirit and the DeLorean are very similar, I don't see why it wouldn't fit a Lotus as well.

IAN: Longtime man. My plans are the same as I told you with my car the last time we spoke. Seeking perfection - but I'll never get there! My plans are to rebuild It...eventually. For now, It's sits tucked away In my parents house garage.

R.P.M.:Hey Joe. I don't know the number off-hand. I understand there Is a thread somewhere that has a listed directory on the Cosmo Engines. It looks like I got to do a search now...quit trying to hijack my thread.

Aaron Cake: I need to get my TII conversion running the way I want to before I do another conversion. Atleast now, with my mods I have minimal things I need to rack up before going 3 Rotor!!

Only two questions:

1. Where do you get something like that in ONTARIO of all places?

and

2. How much does it cost to get your hands on a 20b block like that?

I hope you guys have fun

Jon

I looked to our friends to the South. I spent as much as I could have gotten a 40' Sony Bravia from Future Shop. This Is with the boxing day special they had.

I hope I answered your questions Jon.

Lawyers Spirit - I saw that adapter plate and tranny for sale, thats what got me wondering LOL. And yes....decent price too, we'll talk more about your Fiat

20B-3rotor - I heard about this 20B Porsche a while ago, I also heard they were keeping it awd?? Now that'd be cool!

vipernicus42 - An importer that I deal with gets 20B's every once in a while but they quickly sell states side...I happened to be in the right place at the right time

Exactly. Sounds like a plan, and that's also precisely why I have wired Tina the way that I have. Great minds think alike of course.

aaron, if you've ever looked in the back of an esprit, there is no way in hell much will fit in there, especially a 20b

If there's room for a 3.5 litre twin turbo Lotus V8, or a 350 Chevy, there's room for a 20B.
