I was wondering if both JDM and North American FD3S have the same interior size? I'm asking this because I've tried different JDM RX7's and they seem so small on the inside, i could barelly fit in the driver's seat because I couldnt really push back the seat beacause of the backseats. Are north american models any bigger since there are no backseaths thus, the drivers seat can be pushed further back? I'm 6 foot tall and 200 pounds. Anybody, about my size, owns an FD and could you tell me if you fit well inside?

I'm over 6'2" and over 220lbs. I fit in the FD (sunroof). I would have a difficult time with a helmet. Cannot drive more than 2 hours without a break, unless using cruise control (as if).

 

I don't know about the FD's, but I know in the FC there is significantly less legroom on the passenger (right) side compared to the left - the footwell simply is a couple inches shallower. My guess is that that was done either to suit generally shorter asian physiques, or more likely for clearance for turbo/exhaust plumbing and maybe still have room for brake, clutch, and accelerator and steering hardware.

 

I find the jdm seats narrower than ours here, little tight for a 200 pounder.

 

I find JDM seats dont go back as far either. Usually because of a rear seat or whatever.
