INVITE: Shannonville Lapping day Fri May 18th - 5:30pm to 7:30pm (plus 2 later dates)
Hi guys,
Some friends have organized a few lapping events at Shannonville for this year. We have about 10 people so far for each day but would like to have around 18 in total for each day. So I thought I would post up an invite to anyone here who is interested.
These lapping days will be a newbie friendly event so do not be shy if you are new to racing. We only ask that you use your head and act responsibly. Shannonville is also considerd to me one of the more "friendly" tracks so it is a great place to learn but at the same time a great course for those with lots of experience.
Details:
Shannonville - Long track
Friday May 18th - 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Friday July 6th - 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Friday, August 10th - 5:30pm to 7:30pm
The cost is $85 for one event, $160 for 2 events and $210 if you sign up for all 3.
You can get more info at the following link but I would ask that rather then register at the following link please let me know via PM if you are interested and provide me with you email address. I will then pass that on to the main organizer who will contact you.

Here is a video of a friend in his S2000 doing a hotlap on the Shannonville Long Track...

Hope some of you can make it.
Cheers, Jason

It would be cool if some of you could make it.
Let me know if you are in so I can put you in touch with Seb (main organizer). From what I hear they are going to post this on a suby board and honda board so spots may go fast.

Looks like I'm in. If I bring a passenger do they need to pay? I know they'd need to pay the admission fee, but do they need to pay for lapping?

Hey guys, this was just posted on our forum....
Although I am an East ender I will bemeeting a couple of friends in the west end location.
Departure plans:
Meet at the Tim Hortons on Innes rd (near the 417) for 1:30pm. The plan is to leave at 1:40pm and be at the Sunoco on Marysville Rd for 4:15. It takes around 2.5 hours to get there ... and this being a long weekend we definitely don't want to be 'speeding'.
west people - Meet point #2
hwy 8/416 at the park and ride, we'll drive in/out quick - be ready for around 2pm.

The driver's meeting is at 5:00pm at Shannonville raceway. It is mandatory. If you miss it you can't race.
This should give drivers roughly 30-40 minutes to prepare.
Before leaving:
- Fill up on gas.
- Make sure you don't have to pee on the way there.
- Make sure you have eaten well for lunch. Supper will be @ 8:30 in Kingston.
How to get there:
From Montreal/Ottawa: Hwy 401 west to exit #566 - Marysville Rd. Proceed south on Marysville Rd to the four way stop (Old Hwy #2). Go west, we are approx. 3 kms from this point on the right hand side.

Hi guys,
It was a great day for sure. It was my first time road racing and I have to say I am hooked! Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you guys much.
I have some in car video footage that I will try and edit and get up ASAP.
Hope you guys can make it for the other 2 events.
,Jason
