The big IMSA weekend is soon upon us, is Mazda not running its annual corral this year? No advance notice that I'm aware of for buying tickets through them?????

They've been quiet regarding events this year.

I'll email my contact and see whats up. I think you can view the events as well on the main mosport site?

Regardless, I'll look into it.. see what's going on.

It's up on the Mosport website! I just got my Mazda Corral and camping passes in the mail yesterday. On the website go to "buy tickets", the Mazda Corral is listed. I will be there again this year with my Vert and also my father will have his Vert. Parade laps are Saturday at 5PM this year! I'll be camping Thursday morning till Sunday corner 3 infield. Come say Hi, talk rotor, have a beer, you will see 2 red Verts!

Mazda's 2017 IMSA Prototype racer managed 4th and 5th place in yesterday afternoon's fantastic IMSA race at Mosport. Hospitality at the Mazda Corral was fantastic and in part sponsored by Coburg Mazda. We could have used more rotary representation in a ocean of Miatas.

Track conditions were very mild and the first two hours pretty standard fare. The only drama was me wrenching a muscle in my rib cage from swivelling back and forth so quickly and so often during the first hour as I struggled to keep the cars in my viewfinder as they ripped up Mario Andretti straight at close to 200 mph.

But with 40 minutes to the end, the skies opened and the mad rush to pit. And then it suddenly cleared and the track began quickly drying. Again another rush to pit back to slicks and it began to rain again. The teams were so flummoxed that some decided to chance it and stay out but accidents began piling up as drivers were caught unprepared by wet sections of the track. Mazda managed to gain a spot by passing a Cadillac prototype on slicks in the rain and at least both cars finished without mechanical failure.

I wish I could've made it. There were a few things that popped up I couldn't get out of.
Great to hear the Mazdas did well. Hope to see them keep pushing.
