Hi Guiz whats going on?
hey guys figured i should introduce myself i've been creeping on here for awhile lol
I got tired of the Honda scene, too many young kids and unwanted attention and i found that the civic/integra scene is all about what rims/lip/motor you have.
I wanted a car that is meant to go fast and handle well out of the box not an econo car it didnt make sense to me to buy a civic for 2 k spend another 2k on a motor 1k on suspension etc
anyways enough ranting
i had myself a civic on spray was fun but got old fast
so i did the Vip car theme for abit with my 03 accord ok well it was more tuner theme lol
then about 2 months ago i decided i need a drastic change something other than a honda everyone i knew told me not to buy an rx7
went on to kijiji and found a local rx7 for sale I originally knew nothing about Rx7's The reason i went to see it was because it was 5 lug so i could reuse my gram lights (haahahah) i got there the guy popped the hood i couldn't believe how clean it was he told me it had a rebuilt motor, but it needed a master cylinder and a clutch
so then i figured what the hell why not
the outside was extremely dirty when i picked it up it had been parked underground for a few years so the concrete dust made it look horrible.
the first night i brought it back i put the wheel on it right away lol

Battery box still there! with the original label!
Labels all still there and clearly readable
I paid $1000.00 for the car..... its a 1991 GXL black on black i wonder how many were made....
couple things have changed since then i have takin that steering wheel out original is back in and took the pedal cover off and junked them
the car has almost all the original parts owners manual, crank for the sunroof, wheel chocks that fold up even have the paper work that goes with the crank for the sunroof in japanese and engrish lol
also it came with ebc green stuffs and brembo blanks that the prevs owner didn't know about....
since then i have out a racing beat long tube header on
replaced the clutch
it was cheap works well don't flame! lol
picked up new rims for it waiting to get dropped before i put them on
i have no picks for but i also have installed a greddy emanage and an aem wideband i trap about 90-91 mph in her but my 60 ft time sucks
and the most recent shot ya i sold the grams
oh and to make the thread worthy

Nice car. Very clean. This isn't a flame, but don't count on the clutch disc lasting very long. It was cheap for a reason. Most people get about one year of hard driving before they start disintegrating.
The girl is damn gorgeous.

I can't say much for the lifespan of the ceramic clutches but they are damn amazing while they last.
90mph NA is pretty good.
I think you'll notice that this community has much more creativity in the fact that it isn't as easy to find parts for our cars. if you do an fabrication at all post up what you make people hear enjoy the whole process of our 7's

Now now Aaron... play nice! lol
On a side note, that "import" model chick has got a very sultry look.
Goes to show you what the demograph is on the forum nowadays.

Intended or not, the excellent suspension of the mid-80's to late 90's Civics means they handle well out of the box, and have loads of potential. I have been beaten by them in autocross - light weight and great geometry can mean go-kart handling, notwithstanding all the ricers who think slamming it 2" off the ground, adding a CAI, body kit, and heavy 17" rims on their B16-powered Civic make it a sports car. Just saying - there's a lot of good in those cars, even if a lot of the "import scene" is more style than substance. Not that I'd trade in my 7 for a Honda (well, maybe an S2K ).

the front suspension on a 88-2000 honda civic is still way better than on an fc and the rear is a similar set-up like the other guy said its all about the style of owning a honda not many people i know actually track them or have a reason to have coilovers on there car other than being able to slam their cars
so i hope to see car that are function over form and hopefully people that actually track there cars cause i know i will be abusing the hell out of this one! lol

I'm not saying that they can't handle or perform, but you have to sink a fair few dollars into those cars to do so. My car handles like a dream on eibach prokits, poly bushings, and the stock AAS shocks. Not a huge investment, other than having to replace those shocks due to the fact that they were 20+ years old with 250,000kms on them.
