Thumbs up Help me with my 1st gens

Yes yes im a lil behind on my history lessons. I have been in the comunity for quit a few years, but owning only FC'c and FD's has made me seem to learn about them mostly.

What i would like to know is what everyone would think is the more rarer of the 1st gens. I would like to some day own one too and figured that knowing wich ones would be most collectible would help. I know GSL-SE had more options but what year would be most valued. Or i have heard about a Targa 7, anything behind that.?

So basically give years, model, colours that you would consider as something of a collectors piece if it could be in the future (this is even if they never would be, just want info).

cheers
shawn

GSL-SE was only offered in 84 and 85. Came with a fuel injected N/A 13B. If you wanna start going towards the import fb's then the 1978 Savanna RX-7 GT would be a good candidate for rare. It came with a turbocharged 12A. SA's are slowly starting to become more rare (78 -79 model years). You can tell the diffrerence between an FB and an SA by their tailights and bumpers. As for canadian market GSL-SE would be the ticket. Not too hard to find but more scarce than a GS model. I drive an '81 GSL and it's loaded with every option, power everything, sunroof, a/c (doesn't work anymore), LSD, 4 wheel disc, etc. etc.... Pretty sweet for an '81 if you ask me. GSL's aren't hard to find, it's the conditon they are in that's more challenging. If you're gonna buy a rough car and restore it, I personally wouldn't buy a model lower than GSL, I think that GS models have rear drums not discs, and an open differential. Either way with an FB you can't lose!! Hope you join us FB guys!! You won't regret it!
