gsl ignition problem??

i have a 82 gsl and right now its only sparking on trailing and not leading we drove it out to rotoryrocket1's shop and havent looked for the problem yet. What could it be? we tried swapping coils and no help they it drove like a bag out there. so after lol i just switched around the spark plug wires on the coils to have my leading fireing instead of my trailing. works better but its like cheap alternative patch for now. also could it be the ignitor that is screwed.

any help would be great

thanks

I'm gonna guess ignitors. Jeff20b has a wiring diagram to test them on his site.

That wiring diagram is even in the haynes (crappy) manual.
Do a search in the first gen forum for ignitor test wiring diagram.
You'll probably find the pic.
