would a rear emblem fit the front bumper also? or are they both different.

missing a front emblem from my 'fd' but found a rear one for sale. was wondering if they are interchangeable.

 

They're different. In addition to the size, the rear is slightly concave and the front is slightly convex. I used this thread to get part numbers for the new winged style emblems for my car, but it will give you the size information in case you need that:
