FC N/A snapped Stud in exhuast manifold

My buddy was trying to remove his stupidly loud exhaust for a decent system and the stud inside exhaust manifold where it meets the cats snapped.

Is this bolt easily removable?

Vice grips and/or torch. Or just cut the flange and weld on a new one.

If the stud didnt break flush with the flange..try to use a stud extractor (if you have any) with a bit of heat thats probably the easiest way. Or just use the torch to melt it right out.

Another thing you can try if there is some stud left or even if there isn't is to weld a nut to the stud. Heat the manifold up and use a socket on the welded nut to turn the stud out. Or just by a header lol.

Just drill the **** out of the stud and replace the damn thing with a bolt and nut.Cut it flush and then drill into it.
Start off with a small bit and work your way up.
I did the same thing on the stock N/A cast manifold, and since I was gonna replace it down the line it was a no-brainer to just put a bolt where the stud was.

Do not torch it..unless you want to do massive damage to the housing.
Stud remover is the easiest way and wont damage anything.

If you do drill it make absolutely sure the stud is completely flat and punch it dead centre. If you mess up drilling it the only option is threaded inserts like I did. If the hole gets too big or oblong heli-coils wont work.

I dont think hes talking about a stud in the actual engine, you could probably just torch it or just heat it and use water to cool it
