Ok when I bought my 88 with an 89 engine, the previous owner had already converted the car from a duel exhaust to a single and it's seriously loud. Now the one muffler that is there in completely rotten out and I need to replace it, since i'v already gotten 2 tickets for it. I want to make the car dual exhaust again, but a duel catback system won't fit because the aftermarket headers. I want the car to sound fairly stock so what should I do?

P.S: Because of the headers I only have 1 cat.

 

What kind of headers are they? Do you still have the stock cat?

 

Don't worry about it i found a shop to make me a custom Y pipe for 180 cash.
