i think rx7 specialties is worth the effort. ship the motor then take a drive to pick it up and see the shop, though not much to look at adam does have some intresting toys.

Adam did a 6 port streetport for me and it ran perfect. he also did a 6 port s5 for a buddy with rx8 rotors and a streetport, pulled very very smooth. He has always treated me very well. You'll hear good and bad about anybody, a lot of it has to do with how you treat them as well though.

That is really really helpful, because I was going to take it to the specialty shop in calgary he was talking about... because conroy is to busy this year..

I don't wanna be ragging on either shop. I've never really dealt with either. I'm just linking to the most recent thread i could find.

I've heard good and bad from both Conroy and Adam, most of the bad about Adam comes from a select few. I had a positive experience and have always been treated well. I thought he would've dropped my business like a rock when I got an engine done by Max, but he's still the same to me. I had a friend tear apart an engine bought from Conroy with a claim of being streetported. Now my 6 port from Adam was posted, and he welcomed me in to take pics prior to assembly, Conroys ports on the other hand were completely stock. I have another friend currently getting an engine built by Conroy, so this will be a new testament.

Nice thing for me, is now I will get feedback on all three. For me so far, Adam was 10/10, Max definitely 10/10, Conroy, well I will disregard present knowledge and go from scratch with Anthony's testimonial.

So far as I remember, nobody else except conroy has ever personally delivered an engine to my door.

I found over the years that each builder has his own strenghs and weaknesses. Honestly though? If it didn't want to build it myself, I'd pay the arm and a leg and give Joe at RPM a run.

Credit does go to Conroy for trust factor! I bought a carb from him, he dropped it off in Calgary and "trusted" me to pick it up and send him the money.

IMPORTANT NOTE: the engine failure my buddy suffered on Conroys engine was no fault on Conroys part! **** happens when you run things out of oil!
