Did anyone bother going to the Toronto Car Show?

Great pics.
I've given up on the autoshow a few years back.
Last auto show I went too was Detroit. At least there they let you examine all the cars regardless of marquee.
I'll get up close and personal with all the interesting cars at the race track anyway.

I have gone every year. This year was smaller but still pretty good. We did the Mercedes test track. Basically driving around cones in a parking lot. I was actually disappointed in all the Mercedes vehicles, but it was still fun to beat on them. I got a warning for aggressive driving on my last go around.
I also test drove the new Camaro SS while we were there. 400+ horses and low end torque felt pretty nice. I miss that
And ya the street meat outside was good too!
Over all I had fun as usual.

I was there on Sunday the 14th. It was a good show, but much smaller then previous years. The whole SkyDome area was not used which probably made the show 50% smaller.
The whole Shelby thing was annoying though. All I saw were a bunch of Mustangs with different paint. For someone who isn't a Shelby/Mustang fan the whole exhibit meant nothing. In fact, the whole time I was there, I kept hearing people ask "Who is Carrol Shelby?".

^Looked exactly like a regular RX-8 with vinyls. Hood closed. Up on a display showing only the worst angles possible on an FE. Pics came out looking like garbage. I deleted the pics.
BTW...
The only car there with random HOT chicks taking pictures of it was that little green Mazda 2!

Kind of off topic, but one of the pics made me wonder....
My knowledge about engines is very limited, but from reading the RX7 Haynes manual, and things like the RX7Club, I assume I know how a turbo works. It uses the exhaust to turn a turbine to pull more air in right? Well why do you always see the turbine in pics like these? Isn't it suppose to be connected to the air intake? Or is it just pulling the air from the engine bay directly?
Just a question, interested in how it works.

You might enjoy reading this: http://www.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm
You assume correctly, usually the turbine is drawing in air from the engine bay, or vented from outside. Keep in mind it is compressed and goes through the intercooler at this point to lower the temps, the cooler the air the more you can move/the denser it is. So it is advantageous to vent it from outside insulating it from the underhood temps.
