Alright Aaron, here's the breakdown. We're planning on leaving T.O. around 6am. We're rendezvousing with Hevnsnt at KW for around 7:15-30ish.
How do you want to meet? Along the hwy or at the autoshow?

I think it's easiest at the auto show. Sounds like you guys are leaving earlier then I am. I generally leave around 9AM or so. So it's probably best to meet at the auto show...Mazda booth is probably the best spot as well. Just name a time. I guess you would be passing London just as I'm leaving so (or shortly before) so it will work out well. I don't want people standing around waiting for little ol' me...

That's fine... We can meet there... I don't know where the Mazda booth is in the convention center. But I guess we can meet up there around 12:30-1pm or so... Hopefully around the Rygu concept.

Cool, sounds good. I'll have to leave a little before usual then to be sure to be there by 1PM since the border will probably want to conduct their obligatory cavity search on me as I pass through. That usually takes an hour or so...

Aaron,
We passed you on the hwy buddy! lol We honked hoping you would move a bit quicker. But you were set at 110km/h. Which of course is way too slow for Feds and I...
We parked the cars and took the bus over. We saw you again in the lineup to cross the border when we were on the bus.
We thought we would run into you shortly when we got to Mazda. However, our gang kept disappearing. There were alot of people and everyone has different tastes when it comes to cars. We made our way over to the Ford area around 2ish. We took in the Ryuga, tried to look for you, but the crowd was too large. We were in the Ford area for at least 1hr or so.
Jaguar was nice. Aston was disppointing. I can't believe how many Americans love that Lincoln concpet. Very hideous car. The interor had a few nice points. But otherwise the typical ugly American big sedan.
The Interceptor was a bit better on the outside. But again, very huge!
I was more interested in the concepts. They show where the company is heading. Mazda's concept looked alot better in person. The other concepts I really liked were the Toyota/Lexus successor to the Supra. The Lexus one was much closer to production than the Toyota one. Exterior wise, the Toyota version looked a bit better than the Lexus.
The best booth was the Audi booth. Their new R8 is very impressive! Can't wait to see some of those suckers on the road.
I think last years show was a bit better. There was more to see and more concept-ready-for-production cars last year.
Sorry we couldn't find you Aaron. We'll get to see you for the Ottawa meet!

We were asked on our way over the boarder for some odd information. "What jobs do you work at?" "How much money are you carrying on you?" "Does Aaron Cake really have a dead hooker pile in his shed?"
I've gone across with you four times, I think with no incident , so it's not every time. Perhaps it's simply that you're kind of an atypical situation. How many young guys wearing trenchcoats and long hair, driving an niche car with a highly visable home made MP3 player do they see at the boarder in a given day?
I went today with a friend, but I wasn't avoiding you guys, he just seperated from his wife and I helped him move out yesterday. The show was okay, but I didn't think it was any screaming heck. I enjoyed looking at the BMW Valvetronic and VANOS engine bit cutouts. That's a pretty wild system. The slightly body tweeked 350Z I think looks a lot better, even though it's a subtle change. The Z06 is $69k USD, that's a screaming deal down there.

By far the nicest concept-turned-production car of the show. People were saying this "concept" will never make it to the road in it's present shape.
I just kept my mouth shut.
Really great car!
Can't wait to see what the LED headlights are going to look like. Right now it's still using HID's for it's main lights. But at least it's got 12 LED daytime running lights. They hide nicely around the main headlight units.

Meh, too bad I didn't hear your honking otherwise I would have sped up and we could have arrived together and then did the bus thing.

Aside from that I would have to say the show was rather lackluster. Kind of funny to see the variable turbo exhibit in the Acura booth and how much of a big deal they made about it...Surly they know that Mazda abandoned that design 20+ years ago.

Oh, and did anyone notice that Mazda had absolutely zero rotary content?

Hevnsnt,
The Audi booth was by far the best! She was the perfect little package!
I agree with you regarding car design. Cars nowadays look too alike. No real timeless designs.
Aaron,
If you were at the RX-8 90% of the time, how come you couldn't see us?! There were at 7 of us! LOL We went over there and some of the guys were examining the RX-8. Nothing really changed.
No worries buddy, we'll meet up again in the new season. Can't wait to see Tina again. It's been forever since we last saw her.

Aaron, the booth spokeswomen/models don't actually want to talk to you. I must be getting old, but I was a little distrubed by the models who looked like they were 17 in the Lambo booth. They were posing for pictures with a photo journalist or something and it just seemed disturbing that they prostitute themselves that way (eg. making mildly suggestive faces when they pose).
I don't have any Valvetronic pictures.

Concepty-wise, content was limited, but crawling over the A3 and C30 made it worthwhile.
Aaron: How could you miss the black P5 with Orange wheels and the Mazda3 full of Mexicans? We passed you right around chatham.
