Unfortunately that V mount is mostly useless without ducting to control air flow. It's been 'working' not because of the design but simply because of the sub zero ambient temps, the charged air is obviously not putting any heat stress into the aluminum.
Not syaing it's a bad job, just an unfinished one. Come the warmer temps and you will notice a rise in water and charge air temps over the OEM setup.

Ya knowing Dave, he wouldn't let you do that without ducking it properly. Heck he still tell me tape up every single gap that i can find.

Yesterday I got off the Allen southbound at Lawrence at about 9:45am. I was waiting at the light to go east and you drove past as you were already eastbound on Lawrence. Light change was too slow for me to catch you. Car looked great in motion.

Well its not mine, its my parents. But they're scared of driving it. My mom hasn't touched it (even though its in her name) and my dad drove it for 5 minutes and then told me to drive, so I've been the only one that has really driven it. We only got it on Monday and I've been waiting to get my FD back to take some proper pics outside hehe. Already 223 km on the clock

LOL, you have no idea how much **** we already took out of the garage. There was even a fridge in there! Those pics were taken right after we finished taking the stuff out and put the car in for the first time haha. They make room for the GT-R but not the FD
