Cost expensive

to get the Catback Exhausts (Y pipe and the two Mufflers) from Racing Beat into Canada.
Where in Canada can I get this for my Rx-7 almost as equavalent. Must be some place that sells Rx exhaust systems.

I had two or three different exhausts on my 10th AE. They were all loud. I guess that is because it is full 3". My 89 has racing beat. Love the racing beat...

Order the RB system and have it sent to the UPS store in Ogdensburg NY. The shipping will be way less, and the UPS store will only charge you $5 a box to receive the package. You then drive down to the US, cross the border and go into the UPS store and pick up the package. On the way back through the border you declare the exhaust and pay the tax. WAY WAY WAY cheaper than having it shipped to your door, as the shipping will cost less and you wont have to pay UPS's ridiculous brokerage fees.

Here are the two "official" Rotary Racing Beat distributors in Canada:

RX-7 Specialties (Rotary)

Warranty and used parts maybe. Not new aftermarket. Ordering from an authorized dealer will cost you the exact same as having them ship it to your door, if not more since it has to go to them then be shipped to you. I bought a full RB exhaust for the FB through Mazdee's and drove to pick it up. It was still brutally expensive. If you want to save money do as Nick says.

Not tax, duty. You still have to pay tax, but NAFTA means you don't have any duties to pay on top of the price of the goods. What UPS rapes you on is brokerage - which is their fee for doing all the paperwork involved in bringing your goods over the border. By picking it up and bringing it over the border your self, you are acting as your own broker.

Racing beat (like many other car parts places) doesn't like shipping packages to addresses that are not the same as the billing address on your credit card. Therefore if you have it shipped to Ogdensburg, you will have to call RB and make arrangements to either pay with some sort of money order, or have the UPS store's address added to your credit card. I paid mine with a money order.

So let's say you wanted their FC catback. You'd pay:
Exhaust = $635 USD
Shipping to Ogdensburg (call them to get that amount) = $?
$5 per box for the UPS store to hold it - so 3 boxes = $15.
13% tax on the $635 at the border = $82.55

$732.55 plus shipping, which I'd guess is about $60, so call it $800 total.

nick86, I phoned RB. It's $127.00 from RB to Odgenburg.
Total would be $859.55. Got to think twice on this. My stock exhaust is in very very good condition. So I like I said, I'll re think this over. But if I cross over in Ontario, and I live in Quebec, don't I just pay the Fed Tax ??

spending nearly $1000 on an exhaust system is compeltely insane.

Go buy some nice mufflers (magnaflow makes great, quiet, straight-through ones) on ebay, and go to a local exhaust shop and have them build you a system.

Or save even more and buy a complete 3" SS made-in-china system on ebay for like $250 that will outlast your car.

I currently use The Nick86 Method for ordering American parts after getting raped on brokerage fees for my Racing Beat exhaust. (Driving from London to Port Huron is just part of the process.)

You can't beat Racing Beat exhausts for sound and quality...but there are a lot of cheaper options.
