Clutch Discs.

Can you switch out just the disc?..Better yet where can I get just a disc?..I have a heavy duty Act..I would like to put in a "newer" disc, since the Disc is worn a bit,and I don't feel like putting in an "iffy" disc The pressure plate is fine,no Hot spots, marks etc...(Ottawa and area Guys)..thanks..DAVE/STYX!~

I've got friction plates Dave.

A BRAND NEW N/A one and a slightly used full-face organic TII friction plate.

The friction plate CAN be switched just by itself, but in most cases people install the entire assembly (pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, friction plate) because, well, you're in there may as well. Plus if one part is worn chances are the others aren't too far behind.

Yeah, I don't know what kind of setup you're running, but for the entire kit for an N/A FB it cost me $200 at partsource. Granted, it isn't the most performant clutch setup ever, but just to illustrate that the cost (or time/effort) of the labor to install it can be more than the parts, so you might as well do the whole thing. No use having to go back in there anytime soon.

I don't know where to get FC clutch parts, but these guys probably know. As usual, I look at racingbeat and mazdatrix for performace parts, though clutches are common enough that you can undoubtedly find a closer/cheaper source for the parts once you know exactly what you want.
