Yah the big v8 is dumb. I should've stuck with something that couldn't break parts...... jk.
It's the price I gotta pay. I will hopefully grab and new stub shaft so I can get it back on the road. and then I will be trying to get a cobra rear end in it, hopefully soon.

If there is going to be a somewhat decent turn out I'll make the trip into Calgary to check out everyones cars. My FD's ETA is on the 20th so I unfortunately won't be brining it to the mall today. I'll be bringing my Dodge truck. lol

 

I think we should still have the meet since the weather has improved in the south. Rain stopped at 9:00AM and good weather is moving north with very high cloud cover but nice conditions.

 

Does anyone have a rough estimate of how many people are going to be there? If you just throw on a sweater or a light jacket I'm sure everyone will be warm.

Its 1:20PM. I just woke up from an extremely long stretch of work. I'll see if I can make my way down there.

 

The weather actually wasn't all that bad until it started to rain. Next time I show up to one of those hopefully I won't be driving a dodge there. lol

It was a decent showing for a spring meet and potentially crappy weather. I'm sure some people jammed out due to the weather, and thanks to those who took initiative to look for the rest of us. Meet ended up in the NE corner due to the circus plugging up the lot on the west end. There were several first gens, every one black, several second gens, all n/a, a few fd's and a few rx8's. Here's looking forward to the bbq meet and cruise in black diamond coming soon......

 

Yes, I thought it was a pretty good meet, especially considering the weather. Looking forward to next time....

 

Some were commenting on the FD for sale in grand Prairie. It is a California car with 200,000 "miles" on the body and an estimated 40,000 on an undocumented rebuild. Car is advertised for $13,000 and he'll take $11,000. Says it has an intake leak and idles at 3000rpm but goes down when he puts his hand on the intake and figures it's a gasket vaccuum leak.

Are those stub axles pre-scored? I'm curious what the purpose of that would be - other creating a break-point.
