If we want the Star Mazda and Mazda Motorsports here I cant change the date. They all start to arrive in Canada for the ALMS race the following weekend and leave right after that. Come if you can, I know it will be huge!

Thanks for supporting the rotary community Al , I’ll have to pass on this event but it would have been great to go, I’m per-paid for the CSCS event on Aug.23rd, So...... have fun all.

 

Cr@ppers, this is really really big. The cars that will be at this show give a great cross section of Mazda's that race in North America.

From what I can see it will be one of the best shows/meets of the summer. Its great that Mazda North America is getting behind Motorsports in Canada and recognizing that there are race enthusiasts in this country as well. Now if we could only get Mazda Canada to agree, lol.

I will be there for sure. Al we should have a sound off with all the cars that choose to participate. Let everybody attending hear real race cars not Honda's with f@rt cans.

Yep I was first in line on RPM's RX-4. I'm planning on picking it up this weekend and possibly that PP Holley intake manifold he has too...hint hint nudge nugde!

 

Even if you dont have a car ready, please make sure you drop by and show support. This event will be a big step in showing Canada that we do need more support is the Mazdaspeed and motorsports area.

Like I mentioned over on the 8 club Al, I'm trying to get my buddies from NJ to come up.

Maybe this could turn into 7 stock North-East!

 

I'll be there regardless with my FC that I had at Mosport, but it would be awesome to have the 4 roadworthy.

 

Joe, that is exactly my goal! I really want to show Canada that we do have the basis to get the kind of support the US Mazda grassroots gets from Mazda North America. If we have 150+ cars plus spectators etc show up, I think that would be a pretty strong presence for a 1st event of this type in Canada. I was thinking about calling it "Mazdaspeed North", what do you guys think?

Following the thread. Definitely gonna try to make it!

 

Information about the event is posted at www.mazdaspeed.ca I will keep updating it as we get more information. So far we have great response from the RX7,RX8, Mazda 6 and Trillium Miata clubs.

 

Since I have got almost no response from the Mazda 3 and Protege Clubs, I think this event shall be called "7 Stock North" and we should make it like the big one in California! The mail focus will be to celebrate all things rotary powered, all though any Mazda will be welcome. Can a moderator change this thread for us? What do you guy think?!

 

Al, create a new thread with the pertinent information in the first post, titled as you want it and I will sticky it and make any changes as things progress should details change.
