there's a place in Truro that rebuilt my transmission for me a few years back. They may be able to help. I can get you the name/number if you want.

The best place to send your engine in Canada is
RPM Rotary Performance and Maintenance

Any information (pricing etc.) can either be found on his website or you can email him and he'd be happy to talk rotary with ya!

www.rpmperformance.ca

It might not be the closest place for you, but it certainly is the best place!
...and I'm not just saying that because I work there... ha ha.

Two other options, one Canadian, one not.

Mazdees in Toronto: http://www.goodmedia.com/mazdees/

Rotary Resurrection in Tennesee, probably the #1 name in 'budget' rebuilds on this forum: http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2ndgen/about.html

i have had my motor recently rebuilt by Joe @ RPM. Hes excellent and knows whats hes doing. I am quite happy with my motor. Also if your housings are toasted, he does do/have JHB Housings as well. BTW, mines a 88T2 with a Monster Streetport on it... not quite Brap Brap Brap... but **** is it ever great

I'm still trying to figure out how Joe got an "official" spokesmodel

All kidding aside, Joe is a stand-up guy with great customer service.

an N/A birdgeport?

You'd need to at least run a carb and 12A distributor...or you could go with ITB's and a nice EMS, but that will be obviously quite a bit more money...

A decent exhuast is really a must since you don't want to choke off all the nice porting

But of course, all of this is assuming you don't need to pass an emissions test.....it *may* be possible with a full BP, but not very easily...or legally...but if you're lucky enough to be exempt or without testing in your area, then you're clear.

General Consensus is that bridge-ports dont last very long. Perhiperal Ports last longer, but there goes driveability.

Well, it seems that RPM has alot of positive feedback.

HAHAHA you guys are awesome.

So it looks like my "spokesmodel" has joined the forum now LOL and yes thats her on the front page of the website. Dont worry Crymson.....theres more pics coming.

shnakey, I'll send you an email tomorrow with some more details. But to answer your questions here, if you want to go with a bridgeport, you should probably upgrade the exhaust and upgrading your carb is definatly a must! A nice 48 Weber downdraft and Racing Beat intake would make it scream.

With a bridgeport you probably want a 51 weber, a 48 will not supply enough fuel. I bought the manifold from mazdatrix and the carb from racing beat, you will need some extra parts from mazdatrix to make it all work.

He has a 12a motor so I figured a 48 Weber would be enough.

I had a stock port 12a with a 48 Weber on it and it was waaay too big for it. If it was half bridged I think it would be great for street driving!

Well, if you know what Joe LOOKS like, then you'd understand

Joe, I'm still waiting on the list of internal upgrades that you're suggesting for the engine build. Please email me with list ASAP.

Thanks.
