Best place to buy performance FC pads in ontario? Or website
Hey Guys,
I'm looking at buying T2 FC pads, I've had good experience with the HP+ last year on my old stock FB setup, but now moving on to the FC what do you guys recommend and from where? I know hawk has a new line out there HT-10 i think its called, anyone know if they can get it for a T2 and how much?
Thanks in advance

I run HP+ too, been pleased, they have more bite than the OEM pads that were on the car, and the dust isn't any worse (or harder to clean) than OEM. I have the sport package, so I have the same brakes as your TII. HT-10's are a track-only pad - is that your plan for the car?
I get mine through Rallysport.ca (http://rallysport.ca/) - Shawn there deals with Hawk and Porterfield. Tell him Greg from the Calgary Sports Car Club sent you - I don't know if he gives a better price on referrals, but doesn't hurt, and I do know he ships across the country.
I've heard the Porterfield pads (RS-4) are better (good bite without excessive rotor wear or dusting), but more expensive - no personal experience there though. There are more aggressive pads from both Hawk and Porterfield, but if you're just street and light track use, the HP+ or HPS, or RS-4s are plenty. More aggressive pads will actually deliver poorer braking on the streets (because they need to heat up to work), or light motor sports (autocross), along with worse dust and heavier rotor wear.

sam, anything you need like this goto unauthorized performance here in london. they are so damn cheap, the place HAS to be a drug front because they cannot possibly make money. lol

Partssource or crappy tire can make a Keystone order. You can get Hawk pads through them. I called Partssource 2 weeks ago and Keystone were out of HPS pads. I'm going to call again this weekend.
My insurance is back on the TII as of today. I can't wait.

Jim's Speed can get you anything you need.
I have Hawk HPS pads on my car, but I can't say if they are a whole lot better then anything else because at the same time I installed the pads, I also installed 4 piston calipers.

I know that unauthorized is usually the cheapest with all that ... For the HP+ I got quoted 99$ for the Fronts, and 90$ for the rears ... Also will probably get some more rubber off them some 225/45R15 tires for 232$ a tire. I think that was about 30$ cheaper for the pads though than other competitors locally.
But looks like I'll settle for the HP+ again

I haven't heard too many good things about EBC ... one of my buddies has them (not sure what color) but they're dusty as hell. The HP+ really wasn't as bad as I had though they would be

Sam what brand/model of tires are you running?
Isn't the HP+ a little harsh for a daily driver? I've done a bunch of hours at Shannonville at the past with no fade issues, etc. on HPSs. Your lighter car with the same brakes should do better. I'm surprised that your friend found EBC pads dusty. The whole point of them is low dust...

My buddy had the first set not knowing what they were, but they were quite dusty wanted to try out the EBC stuff because he heard also of the low dust, when he took them off he was surprised to see it was the same stuff. His car is a Latest gen Celica.
As for me this year I'm pulling out the big guns, I'm getting some custom rims from kodiak racing wheels (15x8") and will be running 225 width tire and will be either the BFG R1 or the Toyo Proxies R888 rubber, leaning more on the Toyo's due to the wet handling capabilities.
