Auto-x in london on sunday

http://www.wosca.com

this club is putting on an auto-x this sunday, and the one 2 weeks from now. I want to go to this, but i dont know what i need for it, what to bring, how to regester, stuff like that. i know ill need a helmet, and it looks like i just have to show up and pay the money.

Is this all i have to do? show up with a helmet and car and pay the money?!?!?

Also, would this could for my 2 races for a mazda motorsport membership? or does it have to be a reginal/national level event.

Im a real noob to the race world, and appresiate any help.

Sorry for not seeing your post earlier:
1. You wouldn't have been allowed to compete, they were being very select at Fanshaw and only wanted people who had a fair bit of experience.
2. What do you have to do normally? Show up with $20. They have loaner helmets, but you can get your own for ~$100 at a motorcycle shop. In terms of how to register, normally for the one in woodstock you just show up.
3. Yes any Wosca event will qualify you for mazdamotorsports. That's how I'm currently qualified. They aren't particularly fussy. You just need to send mazdamotorsports a copy of the results posted on the website with your name highlighted. Technically mazdamotorsports demands that the sheet show your whole name, but they didn't complain with me.

The one in woodstock is a show up and pay event.
It will be the last event held at that paticular place.

dufour:

No, if your car is in good working order you will be allowed to participate.

What color vert do you have?

I haven't seen you since your automatic driftathon in welland lol, when you blew up the shock.

For the Nov6 one you just need to show up with a car and $20. I will most likely be there on Nov6.

I'm worried that Action will humiliate me again.

Where exactly is this event? Sounds fun, and if not too far, I might swing in.

It isn't far. It's on HWY2 in woodstock, right off the 401. Do you know where the new Toyota plant is being built? There's an outlett mall and the event is there. If you want to participate you have to be there on time though, you can't just show up at 2PM and join in progress.

So the RX-7 club was again represented by one RX-7. Some guy with a rolling FC chasis in his garage showed up too.

I found a lot of difficulty developing any rhythm because it had some really tight corner and little flow to it.

And the rain, and the wind, and the cold...

That course was not Insight friendly. I seemed to run out of 1st gear all the time, but switching into 2nd meant that I would just have to back to first again a second later.

It was a very challanging course, especailly for the conditions. The hard parts were easy, yet the easy parts were hard.

I know i bunked out.

I've slowly gotten this weird vibration coming from the front end, only at high speed, only on right turns, and only when taking a light corner, basicly, every offramp around my house. Ive checked all the front suspention pieces, and its definatly not the tie rods, control arm, wheel bearing or the ball joints. i have no clue what it is, but i dont want to reck my car 2 hours from my house

I haven't seen any proof that car can actually roll.

Lol. I witnessed it roll last year, but you make a good point. I'm not sure if it has taken a step backwards and has lost its ability to roll.

When you push it, it rolls. Next spring, it will roll under it's own power. When you guys have made an intake manifold from scratch (TYSON excluded) then you can make fun of me.

When you dig it out from under all the stuff, maybe put some air in the tires and get four people to break it loose it rolls.
