ATTN Albertans! License plate survey

As the subject suggests, this is primarily of interest to Albertans, our provincial government is thinking of re-doing Alberta license plates for the first time in almost 25 years, in part because they are running out unique tags in the 3-alpha, 3-numeric format. Part of this, besides possible new colour schemes, new personalization options, and a new slogan, may be to also bring back front plates. Which I assume most 7 owners, like myself, will vehemently oppose on cosmetic and functional grounds (if I have to, I'll mount off the lower lip, so it can get curled under by the first parking block or autocross cone it encounters!). So take the government's survey, and make sure to answer the last question on front plates NO! Only 7 questions, with some write-in opportunities as well.

Another big fat waste of money.

If it cost the government, trust me, it costs the citizens.

I think it's $194, from a quick check of the AMA website - I don't know if only AMA members get that price or if that would be the price at any Alberta Registries agent.

Thanks for posting the link. I filled it out. I definitely don't want a front plate. What a waste of money!
