well i've been trying him for like 2 weeks with no responce....i bought his convertable which is supposed to be a running car missing just powerfc, greddy elbow, and a supra pump...i put all of them in with no other changes and car wont start...so i gotta talk to him...if anyone can let him know to give me a call it'd be nice

well im starting the swap tomorrow but i wanted it to run before...no luck at all and cant tell at all whats wrong...before is the key word on there i think....i dont wanna seem like an *** and andrew seems like a stand up guy so i dont know what to think right now cause i've tried everything he said with no change whatsoever...

^^ buying a car that needs a power FC bye no means = running car.

Power FC needs a tune. If the car doesnt even click, then you wired something wrong in the fuel pump deparment of EMS deparment.

I don't think you can go blaming someone just yet. figure out your end of stuff installed. Get it to crank and prime ( fuel ), then a base map.

ok...well didnt touch the fuel pump wiring at all..simply changed over the pump....
tune was loaded into the power fc...the tune file i got from andrew....
and it does crank and prime...but it doesnt stop priming....engine starts and dies after a second or 2....when i pump the gas it goes as it strugles..doesnt idle...if i try to hold it at a certain rpm..it doesnt hold...

started the swap 2 days ago...engines got a s5 oil pan...where the engine mount is supposed to be under the pan...the 3 bolt holes are closed with rtv...4 of the oil pan bolts are stripped....

so not being able to get in touch with the person i got this from for 3 weeks with no phone calls or pm's returned doesnt make this situation look any better...i already bought it but after asking a million times i still wanna know if theres anything wrong with it that i should fix before trying different things

Fair enough, I guess if he gives you a heads up with anything else that needs some working would save you a lot of time.

well ya i mean i already bought the thing and we're trying to work with what we got but theres already very clear things wrong with it that i wouldnt expect from a mech to have in his car....im questioning whether any of the things listed on the post is true or not now...like is the transmission rebuilt or no? there was a bunch of crap inside when i took the shifter out...its like we're doing the work cleaning it up and trying to do it right but cant say im confident the setup will work fine the way i bought it....i'll call him again today...lets see if i get voicemail again....apparently this car was passed around enough times and god knows what it went thru until i got it....
