Anybody Have Experience with these Wreckers

I need a Ford Focus Zetec MTX75 gearbox for the input shaft in my Cougar and in searching I found 2 boxes locally at 2 auto salvagers that I know nothing about. Does anybody have any experience with;

Bell City Auto Center in Brantford

or

Modern Auto Parts Limited in Scotland Ontario

They are both offering the boxes at decent pricing, but I don't want to buy the box if the shaft is wrecked. Also if you have one sitting on your garage you want to get rid of let me know.

Eric

I buy from Bell city - not exclusively but from time to time.....Pretty good place.

Modern I've never dealt with.

I'll be going into T.O. next week, if you'd like eric I can pick up the box from bell for you. Just pay them lol

I bought from Modern a couple of times. I dealt with a guy by the name of Rick. No issues whatsoever.

If you need a tranny just for the input shaft, I'm wondering if it makes sense to buy it new instead of going through the aggravation of buying a transmission and tearing through it. The cost may end up being the same but with less work.

I'm in KW, and always drive to London. Everywhere I have been sucks, except for Corey's. It's less waste in gas to drive for an hour, than to check the 3 local ones. shame.

I've dealt with both auto wreckers over the years. From what I can recall, Bell might be a bit more expensive - but both auto wreckers are very reasonable. If Classic Joe can't pick-up and deliver, then Bell would be easier to get to from Oakville (just a few minutes off the 403).
