I teamed up with Joe Phillips and did the swap meet for 2 years. We found that we had lots of good interest on here, but when the day actually came only about half the people would show up. I kind of just gave up on the idea. If there is interest and someone has a venue to hold it, I'd be willing to help put it together.

I've got a shitload of stuff to get rid of. And yes, a date that is convenient for everyone is always difficult.

Moreso it's impossible to get everyone to commit and to, um, commit to their commitment...

...without the threat of violence.

Yeah, might have better luck if you double up with a track date, show and shine, and part swap on the side.
Also, I went to a couple of Buggy/Joe's swap meets. I think the weather has a major impact. If it's a bit cool or rainy, people don't want to stand around waiting for buyers/sellers. But if it is sunny and warm, it's a great way to kill an afternoon.

Lastly, I use to think a swap meet was a good way to make a few bucks on the parts I don't want any more. Now, I don't expect to make money. I end up burning a tank of gas. But my objective is to dispose of the parts I have no use for, with hopes that someone else can find a use for them. And my price is slightly above giving it away. Just enough to deter people from grabbing it for nothing, to resell it.

Why not combine it with the Meeting of the Mazdas? There would have plenty of room in the park last year...
