Almost done, but need just a bit more help
I need some advice on what kind of gauges. The criteria for the gauges are to appear stock ( or as close as possible ) and they must fit in a specific location. See attached picture........

I know this is not the best setup as it is an inconvenient place to look plus it also limits the amount of gauges you can run. Having said that I am still set on this location, and three gauges.
(1)I know I need a boost gauge/controller. Not sure if it matters what kind as I do not think BNR stage 3 turbo max out a controller.
(2)AFR.....
(3)And the last gauge??? Water temp, or EGT?
Any suggestion on a specific brand that is decent, and meets the stock/location criteria?

i'f your motor is stock or close too:
boost, Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature.
if your motor is highly modded and still just street driving.
Boost, oil Press, AFR.
if your motor is highly modded and you plan to be racing more then just 1/4mile
Boost, Oil Press, Oil Temp, Fuel press, EGT, Water Temp.
AFR sensors don't usually survive racing temps. I have one because it's aft of where my cat USED to be.

Boost gauge is always required. However, with a boost controller like the profec B it displays boost already. I have both though (controller and gauge on the a-piller).
Oil pressure isn't really needed I think since we have an oil pressure gauge and as long as it reads pressure and goes up with RPM, it is enough to tell you. When I had an oil leak, my gauge would bounce down the back stretch at Mosport which was enough to tell me something was wrong. You don't need to know what your oil pressure is accurately.
Oil temperature can be useful but if you get upgraded dual oil coolers (not the oem r1's), you never have to worry about that again.
Wideband gauge like the AEM is nice. It will let you know if something goes wrong with your fueling. I never had an issue with mine in the stock location but then again I only ran it for a year (~20,000 km with 10+ track days).
EGT would just be for looks as its not really going to tell you anything useful. Water temp is more useful but your PowerFC already has a water temp output on the commander.

Bringing this thread back from the dead. I am looking at the prosport gauges, because of price and style. They still do not match the FD OEM gauges but the amber looks kinda close :s

I am thinking the wideband, oil temp, and fuel pressure.
I came to that based on the above comments, and I now have the profec boost controller.
I wouldn't really know what EGT I am suppose to see plus it sounds like ppl get many different readings because of location.
Voltage - not that important.
clock - lol no thanks
water temp - pfc
oil pressure - maybe but like Marco said ^
Any opinions or is there something I am missing?
