2nd Gen leatherseats.com kit need a doner
Good News for 2nd Gen RX7 Owners with leather seats!
leather seats.com currently makes kits for the 1st and 3rd gen cars and a kit for the convertable only.
I have been communicating with leatherseats.com and they can produce a kit but need a doner seat to make one up from. I do not really want to give mine up for a month or more, so I was wondering if anyone out had one that they could lend or give me to use, I am guesing that it does not have to be perfect. This must be from a 87-88 model in leather with a fixed or integrated headrest.
I plan on attending the 1st meet in Toronto and I plan on getting more pricing info. I think it could be in the 500+ US price range for a leather seat kit.

Do they need the entire seat or just the cover to make a pattern? You would save alot on shipping if it was just the cover!
Do they need leather seats/or covers to create the pattern or can they do it from fabric seats as well? They'll be easier to find and I can think of a few I know off that are just lying around.
Do they need both passenger and driver or just the one seat?

actually, it's not too expensive to ship a seat, I found out. Use fedex ground
if I "donate" a seat, do I get it back redone? if yes, I've got a seat for you. It should be noted (I've discovered) that the passanger and driver seats are different, so a pair is probably required. I'd do that

To be safe I think that it should be a leather seat
It only needs to be the seat covers
If a seat cover is donated unfortunaltly it does not mean that you would get a new seat cover
Thanks
