2 boost questions

yes, yes, my exhaust mani is comin off this week, i have a couple unrelated questions.

1. what is the minimum psi a open venting bov should hiss?

2. can you feel the fuel cut-off on an 88 turbo? my after market boost gauge says im over 5.5 psi by at least 3 psi. intake/exhaust done.

thanks chev

1. like -10 psi, just because even if the guage shows negative, it will still build pressure after you snap the throttle plates closed, then the bov will sound

2. yes, you can feel it. and it's not a good feeling.

yeah i hit fuel cut once, i crapped my pantaloons, got all paranoid. 8.8psi is when fuel cut comes on, avoid it like the plague.

I hit fuel cut beffore as well... about 10 times at least. On mine it felt like ignition misfire or something.. not like a wall where the car does not pull at all, just a misfire. Dont ask why i hit it so many times, i had an FCD.
