...so would anyone laugh if I showed up in my beater B2200?
...(aka the tow vehicle)... 'cause the only way my Rx-7 would be making an appearance is by being towed....
...unless the may 24 weekend is a very productive one...

well, if I don't blow all my money on the porsche this weekend, I might FINALLY make it out to one of these!
I'll probably be in the turbovert or FD, 10AE is a jackstand queen until the cage gets finished

right now weather network 14-day outlook says...no rain and a bit cool.

if you can trust weather prediction more than a week in advance, heh.

It's the same thing that happened last year. 14 day forecast said no rain and all sun. Then on the week of the event, it turned ugly.
We'll see what the weekend will be like when we're 2 days away.
If there's any hint of rain, I'll be hitching a ride with someone!

It's almost time for the 6th (!!) annual Ottawa Meet! There's going to be many changes this year... In an effort to avoid the rain, we're going to be holding the meet a week later than usual. Also, sunday will feature an ALL NEW cruise route!
For those of you not familiar with the Ottawa meet, it consists of a show and shine, bbq and party on saturday and a cruise on sunday. Everyone who's anyone in Ontario and Quebec should (and usualy does) show up for this one
.
WHEN: **May 26-27 weekend**
The meet starts off with a show and shine on MAY 26th around 2PM. We will be holding this at the Kanata Recreational Complex (in Kanata) again. There are restaurants nearby (for the Quebec guys ). I'll post directions to the KRC below. This is a good place to meet everyone and check out peoples rides.
On MAY 27th, we will be holding our annual cruise. The cruise route will be annouced during the show and shine. This year it will be held in Ontario but will feature the same kind of twisty roads and beautiful scenery we've all become acustomed to. And no crashes this year, right guys?!
The Ottawa meet is an RX-7 meet, but it is open to all Mazdas.
For more info or suggestions, please pm me, email rxcetera@hotmail.com or post on this thread.
Feel free to post this thread in other Mazda forums. Spread the word!
Hope to see you all there!

Nice to hear about activities in the Ottawa Region! Unfortunately cannot make it on May 26-27 but would like to be kept informed of activities and events. I am of the TIFOSI CLUBHOUSE & LOUNGE where we can watch races on BIG SCREEN, discuss motor sports activities and events and organize our own stuff. Would like to meet some of you,... all of you and exchange. Please keep me in the loop and on your list: evalente@videotron.ca and call me Enrico.

Quick question.
Let's say the Sens are playing in the Stanley Cup final that night, is there something planned or will we just watch the game at Will's, or is nobody interested in hockey once their RX is out?
I vote for leaving the Toronto guys at Will's and the rest of us can go out to catch the game
j/k

If a game is on that night, FOR SURE we'll be watching it Sam! I have a 52" TV now too, so the TO guys can mend the BBQ and guys who are into real hockey can watch the game

Well the cruise route planning is finally finished and man are you guys in for a treat! I never realized there was such a thing as TOO MANY tight, winding roads.

Toronto (etc) guys: The cruise this year ends on HWY 7. If you're planning on leaving Ottawa after the cruise, it will be quicker to simply take off from there and drive up the 7 back to Toronto.

Thanks for the heads up!
Unfortunatey, everyone should be praying for good weather! Looks like Ottawa is going to be a wet one! Again!!
T.O. weather is going to be nice and sunny, and then we'll get wet going into Ottawa.
If the signs don't change by Thurs., I'll be hitching a ride with someone...

Neo, start your anti-rain dance now, for the sake of your FD!
Looks like even if Anaheim wins it tonight, the next game won't be until Monday, so no worries about Hockey it seems.
Weather is weather, we'll see what happens at the meet.
BRING ON THE TWISTIES!!!
Jon

We're inching closer to the meet now...
Weather is perfect for Sat. But it's going to be a disaster on the actual cruise day!
Looks like I might have to hitch a ride...
