Exclamation *****RX Club of Ontario Dyno Day/Meet*****

This is it! The new RX Club of Ontario’s first event!

We will be hosting a Dyno Day/Meet at Autobahn on Sunday, June 12, 2005, from 10am to 6pm.
This is not a tuning event, and there will be no wideband usage as it will slow things down too much. This is just for horsepower and torque printouts.

$40 buys each person 2 pulls. It is expected to go in 20 minute intervals - 20 minutes per person, 3 cars per hour. People can pick their spot (timewise) when they pay. This is a significantly reduced rate, as dyno use can normally run upwards of $100/hour. If you’ve always wondered what kind of power your car is putting down, now is your chance to find out without having to drain your wallet.

This is not a normal business day for the shop; Autobahn is opening just for us, which means we won't be competing with the general public to use the dyno.

To confirm a spot you can either PayPal Lawyer’s Spirit $41 ($1 to cover the PayPal charge) or pay him $40 in person (which can be arranged via Private Message on this forum.) You must include car type, first 3 characters of your license plate and your time preference. You will receive a confirmation PM.

This is first come, first serve. We will maintain a list of available slots in this thread. Autobahn has promised to service 24 cars and all others will be on a time permitting basis.

Spectators are welcome. This is not just a dyno meet, but also a chance to get together.

WHEN: Sunday, June 12th 10:00am – 6:00pm

WHERE: Autobahn Speed Tuning
181 Woodstream Blvd., Unit 4
Woodbridge, ON., L4L 8G9

DIRECTIONS: Major intersection in Hwy 7/Martingrove Rd.
Go to www.autobahnspeedtuning.ca for directions to the shop

HOW MUCH: $40 for two dyno pulls, first-come, first-serve

PayPal $41 -> charngill@osgoode.yorku.ca

Or send a Private Message to Lawyer’s Spirit to arrange payment drop off $40 cash

Lates,
I won't be there. I had my dynoed 2 weeks ago at http://redlinepd.com/ for 50 bucks, two pulls. It was suppose to be a group dyno session organized between 4 different car boards (racing.kos.net / SPDA / protege group and some others). Zero people paid other than me.

I'd come if my car was running, but that will take some insane grinding! I'll try but chances are slim and the car would still need to be tuned to even do that.

I will probably come out and spectate for a while, we just had the Scarboro Mazda Racing on the dyno last Thursday. It will be interesting to see if EFI is superior to a good ole Holley carb! We turned 229.6 HP @ 9200 rpm. I know of a 400+ horsepower (actual dyno number, same dyno as I ran) Turbo II built by Danny Manning, I wonder if it will show up!

Lates,
The last time I drove my FC 5 hours to a dyno, it was not a good day for my poor car.

My ignition crapped out, some of our resident assclowns wanted my car off the dyno and a 'real' car on, and, worst of all, IAN kicked my *** with a 409.93wHP dyno run...

..do I tempt fate again?

this is ian posting under my brother.

I should be able to show up if not attend. Would be interesting to see if my numbers have changed. Or I can just bring my old dyno to slap it around. lol

I'm in the process of moving so I don't have access to my computer etc.

This dyno meet is meant for rotary owners. Others are welcome, within reason. It wouldn't be fair to us to call it an RX Club of Ontario meet and have people come out only to watch Hondas and Subarus dominate the dyno all day...

Non-rotary owners are welcome to particpate. Just don't try to get the entire Civic Nation to sign up.

also can they do AWD?

No, they cannot do AWD.

If this event is successful, then chances will be good that we will do it again at least one more time this year.

I'm in. Tell them to open all their doors and windows and knock a hole in the roof before I start.

I'll get back to you on that. I'll give them a call tomorrow but they can definately handle your horsepower unless you picked up an extra 700 when I wasn't looking.
