BC Targa Bound

Good Day All,

Recently picked up a 90 NA S5 from CL and starting prep for the 5 day endurance rally in Newfoundland Canada. I think this will be quite the journey as I am just getting back into motorsport.

I haven't built a car for this level of racing yet. But as with everything in life I will just chalk this up to another adventure. And if there are any suggestions from those that have some experience in this style of racing and would like to share then I could really use the help.

I'll have pic's and progress posted as things move forward. Feedback is appreciated.

The most important thing with the targa is good suspension. Our northern road are extremely rough. There is a lot of suspension failure in the targa nfld. Best of luck to you. I hope to make it there as a spectator.

Suspension.

Thanks. funny that... I'm looking at suspension right now

Just looking at an adjustable coilover that isn't too expensive so I can afford a spare set.

First before the suspension you need a reliable and dependable car. I live in NL, know the roads, been following the rally since it started, know some local teams, seen some great cars not make it through the first day. Im also on the setup team for this years event and helping a local Evo 3 team whenever I find time throughout the week.

Have you picked your class yet? It all depends on your class for upgrades. I just purchased a 2001 Miata for open class 2014( fingers crossed)
