When posting any thread concerning the need for help pertaining to any diagnostic help, there are minimum guidelines for us to help you.

1st). I just bought a 87 RX-7 w 1.3 non turbo . Has Bridgeport intake

2nd).Yup Bought a Haynes manual. Very terse.

3rd). Car was in pieces when I bought it. Fuel pump resistor was cut out of wiring. Got all wires connected except a couple running out of Passenger side firewall. no idea where the Oxygen sensor connects.

4th). !st problem I had was bad wire inside gas tank. fuel pump is good.

5th). When I first put the engine together and primed it w gas. i got a rev so ignition did work. Did not see the primary injectors on first round so in the course of plugging them in i bumped the intake against the alternator . got sparks. Think I blew the ECU . Ordered another one.

No blown fuses or burnt wires so must have found unprotected path back to ECU. Waiting for another one right now.

Air Flow meter. I don't understand how a bad air flow meter could produce zero spark?????

Replaced the ECU. Now it runs. Did not know the ECU was that easy to blow. Burned via the TPS wires.
