i'm diggin it, if i could find a cheap shell or a cheap car i'd give it a shot, but dont want to ruin my mint rx7...i had an s13 hatch that i wanted to do that to (sil-camino). never grew the *****...once u start cutting it's do or die, no turning back. but nice job, body work looks pretty decent for no experience. bravo.

I hate the concept, but I have seen the truck potential in the FC body style myself. (one need only open the hatch and look from the side and cover the glass with your hand) . I have to applaud the hard work you did though and the fit-and-finish, I was thinking something more like this rear window/trunk design:

would be fun to fabricate.

so what the word on the word on the vinyl? full-car cover in shiny solid black vinyl would greatly improve the look of car (gold?!).
what about other issues?
-water collection/rust?
-where to purchase large amounts?
-comparable to a maaco job (price and look)?
