CA Rims Question

I want to get wider wheels for the back for my 91 Na. The car has it original spring and shocks and I don't want to change them out.

Can someone please tell me the following:

1. How wide can I go without having it hit the fender?
2. How wide can I go without having it be bad for my car..I heard sometime it puts too much pressure on the rear axle.
3. If I were to go to a junkyard, which wheels off what car should I look for to buy?

If anyone has pics of what it would look like after I put it on please post those too if you could.

You want wider than what (what's on there now)?
Lots of Fords use wheels that will bolt right on...Mustang Bullits and GTs are both pretty common.
I have the Bullits with 235/45's all round (no coilovers)...

the with of the rear rim all depends on offset of the wheels.
at just about any wheel found at junkyard, i would say to not exceed 9 in with without hitting unrolled fenders... again it all depends on the offset. the amount of offset that u can work with usually depends on the type of strut and spring/ coil over your riding on . this changes factors on how "deep" you can get your wheel to look before rubbing on strut
almost any RWD 5x114.3 rim should fit .

there is a website that was posted that takes your current wheel with and offset and lets you input the specs of the possible wheel and will tell you if it will work on a factory QP . i think it was on another thread about rim and tire fitments, although i don't think the thread was generation specific.

hope this helps man

I actually went with the bbs rims of the conv. rx7. I also changed out the suspension.
