reverse lights while in 5th

I'm stuck with a little dilema. Each time I put my car into 5th gear, the back up lights come on. Its a 91 vert with 59k. Any idea on how to resolve this issue?

I'm also stuck with delima. I go to the section the forum reserved for build threads and yet I see threads that have nothing to do with a build.
