I hope yours is fairing better than mine. Hahah, I beat mine to death! She's haggerd to look at but runs like a champ. I really need to get a new suspension setup on her and a matching set of tires. I had a run-in with a trailer hitch at 5mph in a traffic jam on the interstate on my way back from Wiscahnsin and it folded in my psgr side of the front core support etc. As she sits now I have removed the entire guts of the front bumper assembly, the foglights and the psgr headlight assembly + the front bumper cover is held on with zip-ties. XD As soon as I find a suitable garage I am going to start tearing into her to do a part out and start a drift build. Let me know if there are any parts you need, I'm the 2nd owner and she was untouched before she came to me so most everything is still there.

Drrrriiiiiifffttttt!!!!!!

So I attended my first drift race about a month ago and had a blast! I went to a clubFR event at USA International Raceway in Wisconsin, the guys there were pretty cool, all real down to earth and friendly. I even got to do some ride-alongs which is what got me hooked; I hopped in a S14 240SX with an LS1 swap and that thing was siiiccckkkk!!! So now I am planning on doing a drift build.

First step is to remove my A/C and PS pump then depower my rack ala Flyin' Miata's write up.

I'm pretty sure I'm at least going to need some A/C disconnect tools for this though, is there a specific style or size I should get? Are there any other tools I will need to get?

I want to remove the entirety of both systems and don't want to break anything in the process either so if anyone is looking for these parts just let me know. I also have an OEM BOSE CD/Cassette player and radio as well as the factory speakers and amp available. The CD player did not work the last time I had it in the car but the cassette and radio were fine, the speakers worked great too, no rips, tears or holes in any of them.

Removing the AC components doesn't require any special tools, it's all standard stuff.

Got my A/C and PS completely removed, rack and pinion out also. Planning on doing the Flyin' Miata depower. Thinking about getting some adjustable inner tire rod ends as well.

Gotta replace my water pump too. Pics soon.

I know I'm not really doing anything major but this has been a rewarding experience, I doubted my ability to do all this and procrastinate because of it, but most of this has been pretty easy so far. I still have a long way to go before I get the car to where I want it but every step makes me more motivated. I'd like to have it ready to drift by this spring, biggest problem I face is $$$ I can't decide which coilovers to go with either, I want to get a quality brand (single tube, adjustable) but I don't want to pay some crazy astronomical price either. Next mod will likely be the "Be all, End all FC Electric fan" and a KOYO double pass radiator with silicone hoses.
