Previous owner made a custom one, everything from turbo to exhaust tips are stainless steel :)
100mm Downpipe, wich splits in to two 2.5" with two sliencers on each. |

I don't plan on big eksterior changes, only a lip, some new wheels, rear diffuser and a long overdue paintjob. But i don't think that will be this year, first i need to get the car running strong, getting rid of all the rust, dents and change out all the worn out parts, the car have after all done more than 140K(engine rebuild 6k ago). |

Changed my mind and made new spacers for the old sub so it could be mounted with the magnet in to the box.

The RX7 will be staying in theis garage while i finish my bachelor degree, so i have the oppurtunity to do a bit more extensive work than i first had planned :D

Found some more rust, and the worst i've seen on the car so far. Still it's not to bad for a car from 86 :)

Gas tank is out, so now i can start prepping and welding :)

I like it, very nice car. Wish I had a base with no sunroof.
However, you are removing all the tar of the inside body, in order to look for rust, but also for weight I assume, yet you install a over the top sound system. Also, you should have bought your FTPs in Japan, now you basicaly paid shipping and taxes twice, I bet the were therefor very expensive. Good luck, I'll be following this thread. Riz. |
I will putting in sound dampening once i'm done welding. This is not a track car, so the 5kg or so i save on not having sound dampening, is not worth it. And the sound system is worth every KG it add's to the car, and it's easily removable for track day's ;)

Finally got time to work a little on the car, installed most of the interior, removed fuel lines and changed fuel filter.

Got the exhaust all welded up, only need to change oil, oilgasket and mount the banzai oil pan brace before i'm ready for emission testing :)

Made a buttplug for the exhaust, it's only a temporary solution until i can either modify or make a new exhaust.
