Norwegian 86 TII

Finally got myself my dreamcar, It is a 86 NA converted to TII by a previous owner. I bought it 5 january 2010, so i haven't realy done anything to it yet.

My plans for the car:
Keep it stock looking, need new "flash lenses" for the bumper.
Minor stereo build.
Get rid of the little rust there is and get it in mint condition.

The engine is a streetported S4 13B TII with a bigger turbo, should have atleast 220hp.

Some pictures i got from the previous owner.

any idea on what that rear strut mount is?

And where is the front strut bar?

Its a very clean car.
Is that the original paint?

10yearrx7 01-16-10 05:05 PM

I like the cardboard box holding up the intake. i gotta get me one of those!!!

Pettersen 01-16-10 05:23 PM

It is the original paint, except for the hood(custom scoop).
The last owner made both front and rear strut brace, so they are one of a kind.

The pictures are from the build so the cardboard box isn't there and the front strut is.

I like your jdm tail light covers.....is that scoop off a 280zx?

but yea the car is pretty clean, was the car originally a t2?

Hypertek 01-18-10 12:43 PM

gotta get you some original s4 tail lights, i think you will like them better. I bet those wheels look better without the wheelcaps too, more sport tuner look.

Pettersen 01-18-10 05:57 PM

It's an 86, so no it was NA.

Hood was made by a previous owner so i don't know wich scoop it is.

AmviciousRav 01-19-10 05:53 AM

wow I just noticed your car was LHD :o

what part of Norway are you from?

Pettersen 01-19-10 07:55 AM

I'm from Bodø/Nordland, Middle of norway more or less. My car was imported from USA in 1987.

And we drive on the right side of the road.

SirCygnus 01-19-10 12:22 PM

time to go haltech and a front mount, and crank up the boost.

DarkMatterM4 01-19-10 02:51 PM

Good god! Those rear seats look so uncomfortable! Looks like a promising project.

rksti89 01-19-10 02:58 PM

nice find, hope all goes well and keep it clean. you'll start punching yourself if you get too lazy and let it go into the darkside of falling apart. lol

Red95FD 01-19-10 03:49 PM

Nice.

younG_Gunner 01-20-10 02:54 AM

How do you like not having a sunroof? I was considering building up a base.

Pettersen 01-20-10 03:33 AM

Since i'm about 6,2 sunroof was never a option since i need the ekstra space :)
+ Sunroof on a 80's car is just one more thing to go wrong, rust, leak and so on.

im a fan of sleepy eyes on the s13s but it just doesnt work well on fc man.. not enough slope on the front end to make it look aggressive.

rotordad 02-11-10 06:53 PM

Damn clean FC, good luck with the build.

By driving light do you mean "city" light as with JSpec FTP's?

If so, I have a suggestion. Wet sand your current FTP's to remove the pealing clear coat. Finish with 2000 grit, then polish with plastic polish. Throw some wax and your pretty well good to go. THEN, purchase a pair of CIBE EuroSpec headlight lenses with the CityLight incorporated.

That way, you get the best of both worlds. City Light shining through the FTP's giving same effect as JSpec FTP's. And you retail the FTP function otherwise.

Pretty car. Enjoy her and (as IceMark would always say) Drive Well.:icon_tup:

Is that a factory hood scoop? Looks smaller...

It is a custom hood scoop made by a previous owner. I have a N/A aluminium hood wich i will use once i get around to mounting a fmic.

Pettersen 03-15-10 05:04 PM

The J-SPEC FTP lamps are on their way from Corksport,

HOZZMANRX7
The car don't have any FTP's at the moment, they have been removed by a previous owner, most likely due to damage.

I'm going to get either a Greddy FMIC or the knockoff version of Greddy.
I can afford to buy the Greddy one, but being a college student my resources are somewhat limited and i can't justify spending 800$ more on an fmic kit just to have a Greddy stamp on it, so is the quality/performance of the Greddy one worth the 800$ price difference?
