New Turbo II owner, but need help making a decision
Hi all,
I became a new owner of a S4 Turbo II. It currently sits with the motor disassembled though. So basically I would like to get your guys opinion on what approach I should take to get this beast back on the road......Options are.......
A) Rebuild the current motor
B) Purchase a used motor
I'm basically at a stand point with these two options because of my budget, but I am leaning more towards a used motor since itll come with a new engine harness and a unmolested ECU since the current ones on the car has been modified and the ECU has been rechipped (I live in California so I have to deal with emission BS).
I know this is a simple question, but this post was also for me to introduce myself again on this forum. So glad to be back in the rotary world!

A) Reliable - you don't mention a reason why it is disassembled but as long as everything is still in spec I think this would be your best bet
B) Gamble - you don't know the condition of the motor, no warranty, no telling how long it will last, etc etc.
Basically it comes down to what's more important to you. Having the harness and ecu or a fresh motor.
Good luck with everything
