ON My RX7 FC3S 88 NA

Took me about a year to figure out that this was going to be my next daily car. I found this through a friend. $400 with only 96k!! two of my friends and i said " man lets build a drift car" So we drove out at around 1am to check out the car. It was out in the middle of no where. Took us about 30 min to find it behind some trees:P we came back the next week when the owner was there. He told us he couldnt seem to get the car to start. I peeped my head in the car and saw the fuel sender unit on the floor. i turned around and said ill take it! Towed it home to one my my friends home. went to the junk yard and $16 and an old fuel pump later it ran!(old pump was missing from sender unit) Only two weeks later, one off my friends wanted out of the build, we gave him his money... and then their were two. We got temps for the car and screwed around for 10 days. Parked the car on a farm for 7 months. Spring came along and my other friend bought a miata and wanted out (lord help his soul). Finally mine at last. Ive done a couple things so far, nothing impressive. I will post a pic of my current daily so that you can see my taste into where this build may go. So many plans for it but with school coming up it may be awhile. Here are some pics of it!! Enjoy my fellow wanklers

paint... lol jk just primer

the car is now grey (primed) Lots of body work was done by yours truly. No rust, just dents and scratches. This is pretty rare, due to the fact that i live in Ottawa where mass amounts of salt are thrown on the road. planing on painting it black with some sort of flake in it!!

Nice find! how far are you planning to go if you want to build a drift car? you could just weld the diff and call it a day. the local track is nice and cheap so you could always shakedown the car and see where its at.

Painting of the seat 8)

We actually have decent looking seats, just took a little bit of paint to notice it:P I have the burgundy type interior. The seats were badly faded. It was in need of restoration. Decided to paint them using Dupli colour paint "vinyl and fabric" flat black. Took a while to get the paint too soak in. About 2 1\2 cans of paint Looks much better now. The seat feels a little rough now, but it will do for now. Here is some pics!

Watch that "Dill guy" ...(ahem!)

Both his engine and his last GF left him for the same reason..
Lack of Lubrication....(aaaaaaaaaaahahahhahahahahahahahhah ahaa!).

We went to Brampton and got him an Engine..

Hell, almost got him another GF if he would have said to that Chick on the 401 that he liked "holy oil!"

I may have some odds and ends if you need s4 stuff.

Heres an update on my rx7! I hope i dont upset anyone here:S but the rotary is soon to leave I picked up a motor from Montreal.... 1JZ GTE vvti! ive been wanting to do this swap for a year now and its finally slowly piecing together. Theirs a couple good threads on swapping them in the fc. Im going to try to make this one just as good. Ill be doing the swap myself. Ill be trying to focus on the budgeting and all the hard situations that you may run in to by doing this in your garage. Stay tuned my dudes! heres some pics!

Starting to pull the motor apart. Wasn't sure on what the mileage was on it, so i decided to take a look. I'm most likely going to be change the valve springs, valve stem seals, most likely getting the valve seats and head seats machined + re gasket everything. Im hoping to get 400-450 whp so im not to worried about the bottom end. Also doing bolt ons but those can be shown later. Storing the the motor in my girlfriends basement so i can continue to work on it through the winter.
Here are some pics!

ON Valve train removal

Started working on the head of the motor the other day. I removed the valve train because im going to be "hot bathing" the head. Im also hoping to replace the springs and retainers with Brian Crower ones, along with the valve stem seals. I will also be replacing the head studs with an APR kit. All the bearings look pretty good! Wont be seeing to much progress in the next couple months waiting to sell my daily car. So hopefully around February\March the parts will start to flow in! I guess all i can do now is begin to port the head and keep cleaning!

stay tuned!

I've been contemplating this swap as well, but I feel like I'd have second thoughts on taking my 13bt from my Turbo II. I'd like to see how this goes.

ON Wiring electrical fan

Bored... waiting on parts... no access to motor. Time to figure out the wiring part of this swap! Ive seen way to many posts about people scared of the wiring part of the swap but that will most likely be my forte. Currently a student in electro-mechanical engineering tech. I don't know everything, so if you see a mistake please point it out! If you cant read my writing let me know!

Here is small schematic drawing of wiring an electrical fan with a thermostat. Their are basically two circuits here. One triggers the other. Once the thermostat reaches a certain temperature it connects the circuit for the fan. The circuit does not loop, it just has a common ground that both circuits go too. Keep in mind that this circuit allows the fan to stay ON, even when the car is off until the thermostat reach's its "OFF" temperature. If you do not want this to happen you will have to draw 12 volts on the thermostat side of the circuit from an accessory wire. I personally would prefer the bay to be cooled down properly. You can also wire the fan to a switch and eliminate the thermostat but i am a forgetful person and i wouldn't want to forget to turn it on You can also run a switch that bypasses the circuit so you can have the best of both worlds <3 but i already drew the damn thing so figure it out

ON Ecu pin out 89661-24490

This one took me while to find. The chances you have the same ecu setup as me is probably one in a trillion. I still don't know why my ecu was a pain to find any info on
Literally took me hours of searching to find this, (My ECU Part number is 89661-24490, my motor is JZZ30 automatic, I will be running a manual transmission this is do able with an auto ECU and auto harness, but not vice versa!!)LITERALLY NOTHING ON THEM!. A bunch of sites in Russian and some Asian language. I found one person who listed a pin out that match the wire colors of mine. He was going on about how he couldn't find his for the longest time too, so i'm almost certain that this is it. Only a few wires are off but i'm assuming that he has the manual ECU. He never listed the ECU part number so i'm not 100% sure, but it had the pin out for the VVTi oil solenoid so that's good enough for now

The \ boxes are not blank spots, they're the clips on the harness. All Blank spots are written. ALL colors are written at the end of each line after the red dot

Br- BROWN R-RED W-WHITE Y-YELLOW Bl-BLUE B-BLACK Or-ORANGE Gr-GREEN
Pu- PURPLE P-PINK LGr-LIGHT GREEN

*WIRES WITH TWO COLORS ARE MANLY THE FIRST COLOR WITH
THE STRIPE OF THE SECOND COLOR*

EXMPL. B-W BLACK WITH WHITE STRIPE
