My 2nd Project Car Done Right

Let me start off by explaining how I stumbled across this car. I originally had a red 1987 that I was building from the ground up and it was my first ever project. I had bought it to learn how to do things on my own and had very little experience going in, only knowing how to do basic maintenance. It was a big learning experience which is what I wanted to get out of it. Anyways… I was super close to finishing it I just needed 2 interior trim pieces and a paint job which was actually planned the weekend I bought the new car but I’ll get to that in a second. So there I was on marketplace and saw this guy had the last 2 trim pieces I needed and he was local! I go to pickup the pieces and I buy them from him and while we were talking I noticed he had a really clean white FC which was the color I was about to paint mine! He told me about how he was actually trying to sell it. Just a rolling shell. I’m like this is everything I wanted to do with mine! So I tested the market and posted mine up for sale. The same day I get a message asking if I would be okay with taking out the motor and selling him the car without it. Was skeptical at first but he seemed serious and it was perfect because I could just swap it into the new car! So pulled the motor, sold the car, and bought this absolute mint S4. I had fallen in love with my other one I wanted to build one again but do it right. I didn’t want to keep that other car because I actually was trying to flip it and sell my 15’ WRX to get a C7 Z06. Plans have changed now and I am wanting to keep this FC! I will be logging my journey because it is going to be a very long one. I appreciate any advice/tips along the way. I already have some plans for the car from what I wanted to do with mine. The two big plans I want to do is a FD motor swap, and to convert it to a RHD. Yes I know both very time consuming and expensive plans but it is what I want! I know I could go different routes like actually buying a RHD but what’s the fun in that! I want to be able to do it on my own and be able to add things to my skill set.

I have those same MS-01 wheels on my FC. Looks like a great start! Can't wait to see more.

The first thing I had to do was get some wheels to transport it since the original wheels were not coming with the car.
I grabbed a set of turbo II wheels just for the time being. Might polish them I’m not sure yet

I wish they came with the car!

Refurbishing the engine

The next thing on the list was to clean/rebuild the old motor before either putting it in for the mean time or to get more money out of it so I can put it towards the FD motor.

The next thing I did was paint the roof because the previous owner didn’t due to him wanting to delete the sunroof. I wanted to keep it so I went ahead and painted it now.
