The debate begins on using these (cheap and quick rendition, final would be centered and possibly 2 rows) or my JDM FTP.

Probably sticking with the JDM FTPs. But it was a quick and fun project

Not car related, but my girlfriend and I moved into her parents 1st floor not too long ago. It's been a project since it was fashioned in the 80/90s. But here is our biggest project thus far.

There was never a wall so we decided to make a recessed wall and wall mount my 46". My girlfriend designed everything her dad and I built it. And then I did the LEDs and supplied all the electronics. She shocked me by taking over and doing a kickass job on tucking the wires. I am beyond content and with this we can move onto the other smaller things.

As for the RX-7, still parts collecting. Designed and made a gauge pod and it came out better than anticipated. Still unsure of where I'll mount it. But it is pretty robust. Hopefully getting my s5 vert tails in soon and got a pair of rear molding deletes and a cargo cover on the way as well. Car is still sitting for the winter!

Thanks for looking/reading

I plan on making them to sell on here along with my cupholders which I am positive I can start selling now and custom horn buttons!!!

I need to know the depth of your gauge and what youre going to use to mount it. I will gladly make some. I can even get crazy and make them completely custom with your user name or nickname or anything. They are pretty sweet. This model was too flimsy to sell. Ill use it myself.

Okay so something new. Took a while to come in but I made a sleek and OEM feel and fit iPad dash mount. Just need to move my radio to the glovebox and I'll be good

If the iPad seems crooked it's because there was only 1 mount fully attached the others were floating, just wanted an idea of how it would look

iPad looks good. I was/am thinking about doing a tablet install... How do you like it? What kind of deck are you using? Sony has some radios that have a decent app to control the radio from the tablet. Are you going to get it to stream 4G? main draw? hardest part of the install?

Build looks great!

Thank you guys, I will post the details once it is complete. I may be making an iPad "kit". I have to reprint this mount because the holes were just a tad bit off and it needs to be a little thicker to prevent the screen from being scratched. I honestly will be using Bluetooth and not worrying about equalizers. I can easily keep the radio in reach to just do quick adjustments if needed, the remote will take care of volume and such.

Keep us updated, are you using a 3D printer?

I'm in the process of converting the factory headrest controls into interfacing with a PAC SWI-RC to control my radio. I figure volume and track up down. I want to get the LEDs for power and surround to light up but I'm not sure what I want to do with the physical buttons themselves. If I get it working well I'll write it up. That way you could keep the glove box closed and just use those buttons to control your radio.

I am using a company that prints, i dont own one myself.

Before i went with a racing wheel, the original plan was an RX-8 or Mazda 3 wheel with steering wheel controls and then the PAC module that interfaces with aftermarket radios. I would have had an ipad in the dash and steering wheel controls. But it was way overpriced and did not look as nice as this grip royal wheel. I dont mind using the radio's remote. The glove box will remain closed and locked.
