Changed the fuel pump from a walbro 255 to an aeromotive stealth 340. Also added new oem fuel sending unit.

If you ever go with coilovers up front you will gain some tire space up front.
I made 17x9+24 wheels fit with 235/40/17 NT05s with stock style shocks (Tokico blues and RB springs) and got no rubbing. NT01s run wider though. My 255 NT01s were within 1/4 in of my friend's 275 NT05s. How do you like that Stu Kelly motor sports fuel hat? I'm still running the stock unit with my Walbro 255. |
Love the stu Kelly pump hanger. Seals really good.
On thing I could say that is wrong with it is the screws that come with it. They're painted black. This causes a problem with the fuel level sender. The sender uses the ground from these screws into the gas tank. I had no fuel gauge operation until I added a ground wire to the top of the hanger, and attached it to a clean spot near the spare tire well. That restored full fuel gauge operation. |
I guess I would still highly suggest at least running water injection. It doesn't cost all that much for a kit and it provides peace of mind, steam cleaning of carbon deposits, and cooling the air charge for more power. I certainly get a bit weary of average fuel quality here in the midwest. All it takes is 1 bad detonation moment to ruin your fun... It's pretty much universally suggested in the single turbo forum even if you aren't running crazy high boost levels.
LOF, are you running the Cobra R reps as well? Seems odd that we would have the exact same wheel specs otherwise haha |

It may be too late, but the Ronin kit is the better mount kit.
Nice pickup on the engine. Gonna run the auto trans or switch to manual? Just going to NOS it and go, or are you going to mod the engine at all? |

Planning on getting the ecu flashed, so if i can get any recommendations on a cam before hand they can tune me up for that.

well whats the quest for now? LS' are in the 300 hp range are they not? Getting another 100 out've it should be easy, with minor things like the cam you mentioned, headers, and tune. I am no help on a cam, there are so many cam options for all v8s its mind boggling, and headache worthy |

C4 Corvette aluminium driveshafts work with the correct rear flange swapped on. Or Granny's driveshaft. Orders Granny's swaybar relocation brackets, and Stu Kelly Motorsports clutch master cylinder bracket. As far as a cam, yea there are many that will get you to around 400 WHP with what you have. You'll need to upgrade the valvesprings at a minimum for any cam. You'll need bigger injectors to make the 400 WHP. As far as a recommendation, do you value nicer street and low RPM manners? I'm a big fan of the ASA cam, I have one in my car and it made 401/401 to the tire. It has got a lot of overlap so it sounds pretty mean. Low RPM manners are not the best but it is pretty street able. It has relatively low lift ,which is easy on the valve train, and it has a wide powerband. My car makes over 350 ft.lbs. of torque form 3500 RPM to 6700 RPM. There are many other cams that will get you there, some with a slightly narrower powerband, that have better street manners, some with more aggressive lift, lots of options. With an otherwise stock motor you don't want to get too aggressive, but 400 WHP or close is doable with a good exhaust and intake. |
Hmmm. Maybe ill just leave her stock and run the nitrous kit for now. Have some pondering to do.
BTW im running the 4l60e for now, so i think theres no need for the clutch master cylinder kit as of yet. |

OK so i think i have some things figured out.
1. Cam: 224 112 +4 good streetable cam with flat torque curve, and a lil lopey. +50rwhp??? 2. I know i need valve springs. Not sure which ones to get or what the differences are. I'm thinking comp 918s, but thats just from what i read on other people's setups. 3. Short header with catless X straight pipe. Cold air intake. Port TB. +20rwhp 4. NX Plate wet kit, 100 shot. So that puts me close to 390-400whp without the squeeze. Should i be fine with the stock injectors? Because i really dont wanna spend more money. |

Well engine made it in one piece!
On top of the Nitrous kit I purchased a Comp cam, 223/230 .585/.600 111+1, should give me a nice lopey idle to make all the girls panties wet. But really, has a supposed flat torque curve, super easy to drive even with the lopey idle. Springs on the way as well. Expecting 350whp Purchased an engine install plate that bolts to the intake manifold area. this thing was a bitch to get off the trailer using the tranny bolts. Picked up a new soldering tip for my Weller, some shrink tube, and 200 feet of 18ga wire to start the harness rebuild/reroute. Still waiting on my granny kit. Those guys dont like to answer the phone after they have your money. Ive been working so much lately i havent had time to do shit. Think im off this weekend. Harness finally complete. Wires ended up being tighter than I originally laid it out. Wanted to run the harness in the valley between the heads and the valve covers, but I'll have to settle with the stock location.

New melling pump shimmed and installed. Water pump housing, alternator, pulleys, belt installed. Cracked my damn oil pan near the oil filter. 250 dollar mistake. Installed short tube headers. set the manifold on to see how its going to look. Did a little shooting on sunday as well.
