Thanks man appreciate the support most people aren't telling me anything my thread is dead lol it's cool not worried about it.

Looking to get some more parts in the under $100 range any suggestions people? I'm thinking maybe DTSS eliminator or dual alternator belt pulley or sliders and base for the seat... Hmmmm or save up for something bigger like autopower cage or Haltech sprint Re.... decisions decisions.

Your thread isn't dead! This is one of the better build threads I've seen. I've not seen anyone gut the doors before, or even make hockey puck motor mounts. I enjoy seeing what you've been doing to this car. Your innovation is inspiring.

Haha unfortunately/ fortunately i get wholesale with most of the stuff i buy so it has made me pretty cheap hence the motor mounts lol. Good work on your build wish i was as far as you were with the motor and such. Good luck with your build!

I have pretty much the same wheels (16x10). Hard to beat them for the price. They don't clear my calipers either. I've been concerned that the mounting face isn't flat against the hub. I think on mine it only touches right around the lugs... they're kind of "dimpled" to the inside. And I think Mazda intended the wheels to be hub-centric, whereas the off-road wheels are lug-centric (dimples). So I was thinking of killing 2 birds with one stone by making a spacer that was hub-centric on the inside and had reliefs cut into the outside to fit the lug-centric wheels.
Do you have this same problem?

Cool thread, been enjoying seeing the quick progress you have made and a budget. How much time do you think you've actually spent working on the car over the past couple of months?

Travis R- Actually now that you point that out and i'm looking at my wheels I think mine are doing the same thing. I think if you managed to make a spacer that will work i'd definitely be interested in buying it! LMK what you decide to do for sure.

beagley- Since I got the car if I had to guess how much time i've spent i'd probably put it around 15 hours give or take a few

Wow that's a damn long time! I still have some 50+ things left to do before i'm gonna let her loose on the track but most expensive is definitely going to be getting the motor rebuild and ported $8/hr job is not cutting it right now LOL(plus school and girlfriend)! I'll definitely keep up with your build and we'll see who finished first haha although it's never ending!

On a good note got word the Jamie over at Stance found parts in the Warehouse to piece together my coilovers so I'll hopefully have them next week!!! So excited: Going to buy some Federal 595 RSR tires to throw on the wheels so I can get her back on the ground!

This weekend will be:
Cutting out driver door
Taking out more sound deadening
trying to fit the front fenders better

Next up to buy will be:
Rear camber arms
DTSS eliminator
Bushing kit

School and girlfriend take at least $6.25/hour of your $8/hour job. lol - That leaves you with quite some time to save up for your engine rebuild. Advice: Dump the girlfriend and drop out! ;-)

I'm glad I went with ksport coilovers.. got them in 5 days as opposed to a month and a half. And I prefer your build being "dead". I don't have to read through all the ego's to see the important stuff! GL on your build.

Progress is looking good! Are you concerned at all about the hockey pucks breaking/falling apart under load?

wankle1- That is a good deal! That is a little cheaper than my wholesale cost. BTW which ones did you go with?

puhpaper- I do have a little worry in the back of my mind but for right now they will do i really just wanted something cheap to keep the engine up cause the one's that came with the engine completely separated.

What coilovers did you end up going with? Or what's left to finish them?

New update for today:
Bought a pair of Kics 8mm spacers
And 2 Federal 595 RS-R tires 205/50/15
Tires will be here Monday and the coilovers probably mid to late next week
Last wheel showed up today just need to buy two more tires after I get paid next week and she will be back on the ground!!!
